Viktor Haupt has a Johann Gottfried Gehrke in his family tree, born 1793 in died February 1867, Married 14 January 1814, Quednau, Samland, Ostpreussen, to Anna Elisabeth Gehrke 1792-1842 (Parents : Friedrich Gehrke 1748-1821 & Regina Steinhauer 1751-1807) .

No evidence to suggest this is the same Johann Gottfried in my tree.

Deb Friend shows Johann Gottfried Gehrke b November 1835 Germany married 1865 in Mecklenburg-Schwerin to Eleanore Sophie Wum, b 1844. Children listed as Carl Friedrich August Gehrke b 1829 d 1908. Residence listed as Alt Lublow, Domanialamt Neustadt, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. Source listed as Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany, Census 1867 (in German). Also lists Joahnn's mother as Anna Gercke, b 1801. The dates are clearly wrong to be the confirmed parents of Carl Friedrich, but the information is too close to be a coincidence.
