Johanna / Joanna CONNOR was born c1782-1785 Ireland (c1782 - 12/4/1817 age 35 1828 / c1785 - 1828 aged 43)

Johanna married Donald McCARTY / McCARTHY in 1813 and they had the following children

• Bartholomew 1813
• Timothy 1815

Johanna was convicted 24/4/1817 in Bath for having forged Bank of England notes in their possession (with Tho SKINNER, Catherine DOLAND) and sentenced to 14 years transportation and she arrived in Sydney Cove on 7/9/1818 on "Maria". Her family did not accompany her.

Johanna married Edward McGEE/MAGEE on 2/9/1819 in Liverpool and they had the following children

• Mary Ann 1819
• Johanna 1821
• Ann 1823 (died young)
• Julia A 1824

In 1827 Johanna and Edward requested permission to bring her sons Bartholomew aged 12 and Timothy aged 10 from Tralee County of Kerry Ireland who were living with a Mrs DENOVAN. There is no record that the children came to Australia.

Her husband Edward died in 1828 and Johanna married Thomas SMITH in 1831

It is unknown where or when Johannah died

Joanna McCarthy was Tried in Gloucester in April 1817 for having in he possession forges bank notes
