John Edward Ekstadt, 65, of 1844 24th Ave., Moline, died at 5:10 Thursday afternoon in Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital, Los Angeles, Calif. He and his wife were visiting in the home of their two daughters in Chatsworth, Calif., during the holidays.

Services will be at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon in the Esterdahl Chapel, Clement Watt, Christian Science Reader, will conduct the service. Friends may call after 7 Monday night at the chapel.

Those who wish may send memorials to the First Church of Christ, Scientist.

Further services and burial will be in Trimont, Minn.

The son of John and Anna Ekstadt, he was born May 31, 1899, in Triumph, Minn. He married Hilma C. Swanson on Dec. 30, 1925, in Triumph.

Mr. Ekstadt was employed as a tile setter at St. Anthony's Hospital, for seven years, retiring in January of this year. He was a resident of Moline for 34 years and a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist.

Surviving are the widow; two daughters, Mrs. LeRoy Danielson and Mrs. Eugene Kilmer, both of Chatsworth; and two brothers, Clifford, Trimont, and Milton, Bruce Crossing, Mich.
