About John Ford, primus
JOHN FORD (aka JOHN FOORD) primus
John Ford, here treated, is the son of William Ford in East Gordon. He was born before 8 November 1691, the date upon which his baptism was registered at Gordon in Berwickshire, Scotland. His baptismal record reads as follows: "Wm: Foord in East Gordon had a sone baptised called John and gave Wm: Steal & Jo: Hunter for witnesses" [National Records of Scotland, Baptismal Records for Gordon Parish in Berwickshire, 1690-1727, reference OPR.742/2] Image of Baptismal Record
Death
A date of death has not been identified for John Ford, here treated. It seems quite likely, though, probable even, that he died before 29 February 1704, the date upon which the baptism of his younger brother of the same name was registered at Gordon in Berwickshire, Scotland. The baptismal record of the younger John Ford reads as follows: "William Foord in East Gordon had a son baptized his name John Witnesses: Geo: Fraizer Will Brodie".
