Name: John McCubbin
This John had two wives the first was Deborah Howard, the second was named Ann [surname not known].

In his will, Samuel Howard left a bequest:
"I give unto John Macubbins and Samn Macubbins twenty pounds sterling each to be paid them at the day of marriage or the age of twenty one. I give to Eliz Macubbins one negro girl Nell and twenty pounds to be paid on the day of marriage"

These are the children of their son John jr.and Deborah Howard, daughter of Samuel and Catherine.

More proof can be found in a bond executed by Thomas Tolley and sureties in 1707, when Tolley succeeded Philip as administrator of Samuel Howards estate.

AA.Co.Land Rec.WT2:159--
This bond implies that all three children were unmarried and underage in 1707.
Thomas Tolley and sureties, Henry Pinckney, Edward Rummey,Charles Kilborne,Christopher Sinythers and William Gibbons,AACo,Gent; are firmly bound to John,Samuel and Elizabeth Maccubbins, sons and daughter of John and Deborah Maccubbins in the sum of 150 pds. Dated 15th March 1707. The conditions of the above are that Thomas Tolley pay the sum of 60pds. and a negro girl named Nell according to the will of Samuel Howard, late of this county decd.
