The following Memories of Joseph Jeppson was found on Family Search.org and was probably written by one of his grandchildren:

I remember visiting him as a child when he was older, and he had files on everything it seemed. We went to open up his summer home up Emigration Canyon and the process for turning on the water was about 15 steps and he had it detailed out. It was unbelievable. He had a warm sense of humor and a great smile. In looking in his basement he had jars of stuff to be used just in case. Sometimes the jars contained old screws and nails that were rusted. He was a master organizer. When his children bought him an expensive for the time hearing aid, he went to church and loved being able to hear. Then he found out how much it cost, and delicately put it back into the box and said something like the sermon was not that good. I recall visiting him and he had very little yard in Salt lake but he picked fruit from the trees with his arthritic hands. When his sweet wife was of poor health, he was doing everything around the house. When he and his wife read the Book of Mormon out loud in late 1980's or early 1990's, I am told that they said it changed their marriage.
