About Joseph Covert Potter
Joseph C. Potter of Long Branch died last Monday from heart trouble after a sickness of about three years. He was 62 years old and was born and had lived all his life at Long Branch. He had been a member of St. Luke's Methodist church at that place forty years, and was a member of the Long Branch Royal Arcanum and Odd Fellows lodges. Mr. Potter was a contractor and had built some of the finest houses at Long Branch. He leaves a widow and one son, Pitman B. Potter, and a sister, Mrs. Annie Hayes, all of Long Branch.
