About Katie Alice Sattazahn
A desire for a plate of ice cream led to the death of Mrs. Katie Alice Sattazahn, 64, 124 North Ninth Street, Thursday evening at 9:10 o'clock. Mrs. Sattazahn, police say, was returning to her home from the Royal Diner, 137 North Ninth Street, where she had gone for the cream, when she was struck by a car driven by Donald P. Redinger, 20, of 2004 Church Street. Sgt. William Fairburn said that Mr. Sattazahn was carried fifty feet on the fenders and hood of the car. County Coroner Dr. W. H. Brubaker said that death was caused by a fractured, skull. City police, who are still investigating, said that Mrs. Sattazahn had gone to the restaurant for the ice cream and was crossing Ninth Street from the west to east side when she was struck. City police say that no complete details of the accident could be obtained from the driver of the death car. Sgt. Fairburn said that when he questioned the driver, Redinger appeared confused and could give no accurate statement. Mrs. Sattazahn is survived by a step-brother, William Weikel, Lebanon Route 3.
