Lillian B. Combe Allen Balls Standard-Examiner (Ogden, UT) - Monday, December 17, 2001 OGDEN - Lillian B. Combe Allen Balls, 87, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2001.

She was born on October 11, 1912 in Uintah, Utah to Benjamin J. and Bessie Hartwell Combe and was raised in the Uintah area, where she loved to ride horses.

She loved dogs of any kind. Her beloved Cocoa and Snoopy were her companions until the time of her death.

Mom loved to do crochet and embroidery.

She was married to Vern H. Allen for 33 years. They were later divorced. She married Glen W. Balls in September of 1969. They have lived in North Ogden for the last 15 years.

Her biggest success in life was in raising a diversified and loving family. The family included seven children, Connie Child of Ogden, Marilyn K. (Val) Flitton of Morgan, Gerald V. Allen of Ogden,Vern N. (Pat) Allen of Syracuse, Wendy (Skip) Smith of Morgan.

She leaves behind 60 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.

She is also survived by one sister, Pearl Jacques of Layton.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Jesse B. Combe; two sisters, Virginia Gardner and Myrtle Crouch ; daughter, Gloria J. Roche; and an infant daughter, RoseMary.

The last wonderful event she was able to attend was the large party held in honor of her 86th birthday when the entire family was in attendance.

We will miss her and the memories we have shared throughout the years.

She has waited a long time for the reunion with the family that has gone before her.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 18th at 1 p.m. at Lindquist"s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Family and friends may call at the mortuary Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from Noon to 12:45 p.m.

Interment, Lindquist"s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
