Lois V. Olson, 97, Dallas, Wis., died Friday, July 24, 2015, at Mayo Clinic Health System–Northland in Barron.
She was born July 6, 1918, to Omar Reynold and Bertha (Knappen) Olson at Dallas, where she was raised and attended school.
On Oct. 17, 1937, she married Andrew “Arden” Olson at Dallas. She worked for the Ben Franklin Store in Barron for 17 years and was a lifelong member of Dallas Lutheran Church.
Lois resided at Monroe Manor, Barron, for the past year and a half.
Surviving are a son Douglas (Susan) of Casco, Mich.; a daughter-in-law Terry Olson of Richmond, Mich.; grandchildren Mark Olson of Ypsilanti, Mich., Melissa (Greg) Mickelson of Mattawan, Mich., Jo (Jerome) Schultz of Richmond, Mich., and Sarah (Todd) Hercula of Kimball, Mich.; great-grandchildren Ryan and Noah Mickelson, Madison and Meeghan Schultz, and Tyler and Parker Hercula; sisters Doris Thill of Barron and Jean Burch of Ladysmith; a sister-in-law Beulah Olson of Dallas; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Feb. 22, 2001; a son Larry; a granddaughter Kristin Olson; and a brother Manley Olson.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, from Dallas Lutheran Church, with Pastor Heather Kistner officiating and interment at the Dallas Cemetery.
Visitation was held an hour prior to services at the church.
Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Dallas and Cameron, handled arrangements.
