Lonnie Byerlee (Mansfield)
November 6, 1931 - July 11, 2014

Lonnie Edwin Byerlee, son of Austis and Florence Hale Byerlee, was born November 6, 1931 in Ozark County, Missouri near Souder and departed this on July 11, 2014 at his home in Mansfield, Missouri at the age of eighty-two years, eight months and five days.

Lonnie was born and raised in the Souder area, was an Army Veteran and served his country faithfully in the Korean War. After returning from the military, he bought a farm north of Norwood where he farmed and also was an auto body repairman. After retiring, he moved to Mansfield in the mid 1980’s.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Arnold Byerlee, and a sister, Daisy Beasley.

Lonnie is survived by two daughters, Nancy Melton and her husband, Bob of Macomb, Missouri and Patsy Walker of Seymour, Missouri; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Don Byerlee and his wife, Bernice of Mansfield, Missouri; sister, Shirley Bell and her husband, Marvin of Mtn. Grove, Missouri; several nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Lonnie was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. We celebrate his life and will cherish the many good times we had with him.
