About Lucille Correnti
Lucille F. Correnti, 82, of Croton-on-Hudson, NY, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2015. Lucille was born on October 29, 1932, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Michael Vincent and Florence Helen (Bomento) Totaro. She married the love of her life, John Correnti, on June 6, 1953, and he survives.
Lucille was a longtime resident of Croton-on-Hudson and an Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent of Schools for the Croton-Harmon School District. She was also a longtime congregant of Asbury United Methodist Church in Croton and an active member of the Croton, Cortlandt, and Verplanck Senior Citizen Clubs. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many.
Lucille loved reading, cooking, and playing cards. She thoroughly enjoyed athletics and was a passionate Croton Tigers Fan: football, basketball, and baseball. She never missed her children’s games. She was an active political volunteer serving on the election committees of New York State Senator, Jay Rolison, presidential hopeful, Nelson Rockefeller, and Croton’s own Mayor Dr. Stanley Kellerhouse.
Lucille is survived by her two daughters and one son, Florence Gange (Peter) of Robbinsville, NJ, Deborah Correnti (Barry Manus) of Croton-on-Hudson, NY, and John Correnti (Susan) of Wayne, NJ; three grandchildren, Joseph Correnti, Lisa Gange, and Erin Gange; and her devoted sister, Marie Stull of West Chester, PA.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 20, 2015 at the EDWARD F. CARTER FUNERAL HOME, 41 Grand St., Croton-on-Hudson, NY from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 21st at the Asbury United Methodist Church, 17 Old Post Rd. S., Croton-on-Hudson, NY. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery also in Croton.
