Mrs. Lucy Dodson, widow of Marcus A. Dodson, died at her home in Science Hill after a long illness. Mrs. Dodson was a member of a prominent Pulaski County family. She was active in every good movement and was one of the most loved and respected citizens of her community. The body was brought to Somerset to be prepared for burial.
Mrs. Dodson is survived by two children, Lucille, 15 years old and Marcus Denton, 8 years old. She also leaves four sisters, Mrs. Ada Adams of Science Hill, Mrs. Ed Wilder of Georgia, Mrs. L.B. Thompson of Wilmore and Mrs. Kate Floyd. - Somerset Journal
