28 January 1606: Charter by which James VI, King of Scots, confirms that he has granted anew the lands of Wedderlie, in the parish of Gordon, and the five merk town and land of Bassindean, to Robert Edyare of Wedderlie and his wife Marie Dowglas. The lands in question are to be held by Robert and Marie in conjunct fee and liferent, and thereafter by their lawful heirs, whom failing by Robert's nearest lawful heir. 22 May 1611: Charter issued under the Great Seal of Scotland by which James VI, King of Scots, confirms that he has given to George Home, portioner of Bassindene and his heirs, the lands of Huntrodlandis, together with the two husbandlands called Duncelaudis, both located in the town and territory of Bassindene and sheriffdom of Berwick. These lands were held of the king by service and ward, by Richard Edgar, son and heir of the late Oliver Edgar in Flas (Flaws), and Richard Edgar, brother german of Nicholas Edgar in Welstruther (Weststruther). For an inquisition that was held on 20 June 1610, Robert Edgar of Wodderlie produced the king's charter for the lands of Wodderlie, and the five merk lands of Bassindene, made in favour of himself and his wife Marie Douglas. 21 November 1607: Charter by which William Ker of Mersingtoun, with the consent of his wife Issobelle Ker, confirms that he has given, with certain reservations, the lands of Mersingtoun, to his son and apparent heir, James Ker, and James's wife Margaret Edgar. His charter follows from a marriage contract dated 21 May 1607, entered into by William Ker of Mersingtoun, his wife Issobelle Ker, and their son James, and Margaret Edgar, daughter of Robert Edgar of Wedderlie and his wife Maria Douglas. This charter was confirmed under the Great Seal of Scotland on 10 November 1612. RMS 1609-20: charter number 771
