MRS. M. E. CHRISMAN TAKEN BY DEATH Pioneer Resident of Unionville Vicinity Died Thursday Night at the Age of 82

Unionville, Ia., Mch 27. - Special Mrs. M. E. Chrisman, native of Unionville vicinity, and widow of Ben Chrisman whose death occurred many years ago, died at the Mt. Pleasant hospital Thursday night, according to messages received by relatives here, and the body is being returned to Unionville for burial. In her passing Unionville loses another of its pioneer residents. She was born near Unionville, 82 years ago last August, and most of her life was spent on a farm near here. Several years ago, however, she moved into town, where she has since resided. She was widely known and was loved by all for her gentle manner and hopeful attitude toward those with whom she came in contact. In death, Mrs. Chrisman is survived by the following children: Mrs. Clem Whisler, Farragut, Ia., Lon Chrisman, Iowa City; Mrs. Anna Underwood and Bert Chrisman of Blakesburg; Mrs. Cora Hopkins, Mrs. Clara Crawley, and Mrs. Olan Lippert of Unionville vicinity. No funeral arrangements have been made pending word from relatives, and will be announced later.
