About Rfn. Max Eggert Ramm
Son of Mrs. F. L. Ramm, of 6, Crummer Rd., Ponsonby, Auckland. Born at Parenga. Rifleman in NZRB, file number 15976. Served on the Western Front, 1916-17. Injured on 6 June 1917 in Messines, France when a shell fragment entered his back, paralysing him from the waist down. He died three years later in May 1920, in Auckland Hospital from complications of this injury.
