Maxine Phyllis Schiff, 92, died August 26, 2006 at Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital. Burial was in Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge.

She was born July 27, 1914 at Lake City, Kansas, the daughter of Clarence and Maude (Talbott) Martin. She lived on a farm near Sharon until moving to Medicine Lodge. She was a homemaker, a dear mom and granny. She graduated from Lake City High School in 1932. She was a member of the Christian Church, Sharon, and attended the United Methodist Church, Medicine Lodge. On June 6, 1933 she married Kenneth L. Schiff at Sharon, Kansas. He died March 5, 1983.

Survivors include a son Daryl Schiff and his wife Jeanne, Sharon; a daughter Marlene Bradley, Winfield, Kansas; 8 grandchildren, Martina McBride, Marty Schiff, Steve Clark, Gina Leiker, Marci Heck, Mitzi Bryant, Marya Arnett, and Morea Powell, 21 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews including a very special niece Shirley McDaniel.

She was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
