My husband's father, James Marshall Durant is the grandson of Michael J. Durant according to my research.

Michael Duran, who'e father's name was Patrick, was listed in the 1853 City of Boston Marriage Register as Married on January (either 14 or 24 I can't make out the exact date) 1853 to Catherine O'Flaherty who's father's name was Michael It is the first marriage for both and they are both listed as from Boston.

Marriage Registered in Somerville for 1865 has Michael Daran (parents Patrick and Mary) marring Mary Galletly (Parents james and [what looked like] Pirrie Galletly) on January 6, 1865. It was Michael's 2nd and Mary's first. http://genforum.genealogy.com/durant/messages/778.html

Marriage Regisered in the city of Somerville for the year 1870, I have Michael J., who's parents are Patrick and Mary, on 6/18/1878 Mary Cunningham, who's parents are Owen and Mary. The Rev. Chris F. McGrath performed the ceremony. It was Michael's 4th marriage and Mary's 1st.

I have Michael Durant dying on 14 December 1887 of Paraglagia, his parents were Patrick and Margaret.
