Michael Hatzinger, a former resident of Lost Lake, passed away in death at Columbus at 7:30 o'clock last Thursday morning.
He was born May 27, 1864, in Germany, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hatzinger and came to the United States with his parents at the age of five years, his parents settling on a farm at Bristol. Two years later they removed to Lost Lake where Mr. Hatzinger made his home for thirty-five years and until taking up his residence at Columbus in 1925.
He was married to Amelia Koblitz May 27, 1890. He is survived by his wife and six children, two children having preceded him in death. The surviving children are Frank of Calamus; (Agnes) Mrs. John Straseski and Carl of Lost Lake; Clemence of Randolph, Louis of Beaver Dam and (Laura) Mrs. Louis Biel of Lost Lake. All were at his bedside when he passed away. He leaves twenty-two grandchildren, five grandsons and a nephew acted as pallbearers, including Urban and Howard Hatzinger, John Straseske, Merle Hatzinger, Willard Hatzinger, and Wilfred Ziegler.
The funeral services and interment were at Columbus Monday morning.
