HOFFMAN, MICHAEL Michael Hoffman left this world peacefully on Monday April 9, 2012. Mike was born on September 9, 1950 in Petosky, MI to his beloved mother Lucy Dainoviec and his late father Alton Hoffman. He is also preceded in death by his dad, Lawrence Nauta, father and mother-in-law Joseph and Ann Smigiel and brother-in-law Mike Smigiel. Mike was married to Helen (Smigiel), the love of his life, for 38 years. He could not imagine his life without her. Mike loved to hunt and fish on his river property and enjoyed all the beauty of nature. He also enjoyed watching the birds in his backyard and watching all the flowers bloom. Mike is survived by his wife Helen (Smigiel), his mother Lucy Nauta, step mother Marie Croff, brother Larry (Laura) Nauta, sisters Mary Ann (Pat) Kline, Lucy (Ed) Sakocius, brothers-in-law and sisters in law: Barb (James) Williamson, Marie (Alan) McClary, James (Verna) Smigiel, Steve (Diane) Smigiel, Joanne Smigiel, Joseph (Linda) Smigiel, Paula Scheid, Arthur (Jane) Smigiel and Diane Goad, many nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted Monday at 11AM, at the funeral home. The family will receive visitors 10 to 11 AM, at the Arsulowicz Brothers Mortuary, West, 585 Stocking NW.
