Former City Business Man Dies in USA
A prominent Windsor business man, Nathan Rotenberg, 69, died Friday in Hollywood Fla. Mr Rotenberg was born in Poland and came to Canada at an early age. He moved to Windsor from London, Ont in 1910, when he opened the Windsor Bedding Co. manufacturing mattresses, blinds and later batts and pads for the automotive industry. Its name was later changed to Fibre Products Ltd. He sold the company in 1945 and retired.
Mr Rotenberg was active in the local Jewish community a member of B'nai B'rith and Shr Hashomayim Synagogue. He was also a Mason.
Surviving are his widow Celia, in Florid; two daughters, Mrs Archie Cherniak (Beatrice) of Windsor and Mrs EM Stone (Freda), Toronto; four sisters, Mrs Ben Mathews, Windsor, Mrs W Agranov, Florida, Mrs Sam Pollock, Hamilton and Mrs Harry Berlat, Toronto and 2 brothers Sam and Saul Rotenberg of Toronto
