Aug. 18, 1905 -- Aug. 23, 2000. Nicholas Simon Westfall, 95, of Modesto died Wednesday at Evergreen Rehabilitation Care Center. Mr. Westfall was a native and lifelong resident of Modesto. He was a 50-year employee of the Tidewater Southern Railway. He belonged to the Old Fishermen's Club. He was a charter member of E Clampus Vitus, Estanislao Chapter 58, and he also belonged to Native Sons of the Golden West. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Westfall of Modesto; stepson, David A. Mobley of Reedsport, Ore.; and brother, Frank Westfall of Modesto. A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from noon to 8 p.m. Friday at the chapel. Remembrances may be made to the Central Baptist Church Building Fund, 727 Sutter Ave., Modesto 95351.
He was the son of Alvy Washington and Victoria Mary "Dora" Fallman Westfall, widower of Augusta Faye Snyder Westfall, and husband of Dorothy Elizabeth Baker Mobley.
