About Pearl Bodin
Known as Pearl, or "Aunt Sissy".
The first 5 children of Benjamin and Ella Perkins (Pearl, Lula, Beltron, Rob Roy, and Minnie Herd) were all born in the tiny community of Pheba, Mississippi, located in northeastern Mississippi's Clay County.
Clay Co. is north and contiguous with Oktibbeha County, where the father, Benjamin, was born in 1857.
Frank & Ethel (the 6th and 7th children) were born in Houston, in 1894 and 1897 respecfully so between 1891 and 1894 the Perkins' moved to Houston. Pearl would have been 11-14 years old. I wonder what that trip was like.

The 1930 Kingsville census lists Joe Bodin's wife as "Pearl". Interestingly, in that same census Dew Yeary (son-in-law) is listed in the same household.
