In the name of God Amen,~ I Peter Van Buren of the town of Schodac & County of Rensselaer, being weak in body, but of sound and perfect mind & memory, Do make & publish this my last will & testament in manner following, that is to say ~ First, I give & bequeath unto my beloved wife wife [sic] Halitia [Hilletje? Natitia?] Van Buren two cows & one third of the real profits of my farm as I now have it, during her natural life, to be paid to her by my two sons Hendrick & Abraham, each an equal part yearly ~ I do also give & bequeath to my oldest son Hendrick one equal half of my farm in the town of Schodac, equal in quantity & quality forever, & also one equal half in value of my three horses, & also one equal half [of] my waggons, plows & harrows & of all my farming utensils, & also one sixth part of all my cattle & sheep, except two cows given to my wife ~ I do also give & bequeath to my second son Abraham one equal half of my farm in the town of Schodac forever, equal in quantity & quality, & also one equal half in value of my three horses, & one half of all my waggons, plows & harrows & all other farming utensils & also one sixth part of all my cattle & sheep, except two cows given to my wife ~ I do also give & bequeath to my younges [youngest] son Cornelius fifty pound current money of the State of New York to be paid to him at the age of twenty one years -- twenty pound of the above to be paid by my oldest son Hendrick and thirty pound to be paid by my second son Abraham ~ and also my two sons Hendrick & Abraham are to give Cornelius good common learning & give him a trade as he may chuse [choose] & also to have the horse which he now owns ~ I do also give & bequeath to my three daughters, Cornelia, Janey & Tanaky, each one sixth part of all my cattle & sheep except two cows given to my wife and also one mare to Tanaky which she now owns ~ I do also give to my oldest son Hendrick my halloagun ~ And I do also nominate & appoint Robert Woodworth, Cornelius Van Buren & Jacob Righter to be my Executors in this my last will & testament ~ In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand & seal this 31st day of January 1805 ~

Be it remembered, that on the eighteenth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & fourteen personally appeared before me David Allen Esquire Surrogate of the said County of Rensselaer John S. Whitbeek & Bornt Goes, two of the subscribing witnesses to the will of Peter Van Buren late of the town of Schodac in the said County deceased; who being duly sworn, declared that they did see the said Peter Van Buren seal and execute the annexed written instrument, purporting to be the last will & testament of the said Peter, bearing date the thirty first day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & five, and hear him publish & declare the same as & for his last will & testament - that at the time thereof, he the said Peter Van Buren was of sound disposing mind & memory to the best of the knowledge & belief of the said John S. & Bornt - and that the said John S. & Bornt, together with Jacob Righter, the other witness to the said will, severally subscribed their hands & names to the said will as witnesses thereto, in the presence of the testator and of each other ~
