" From this citation -- Philip Homan Baldwin was a captain in the Honorable East India Company.
From 'A pedigree, with personal sketches, of the Falkiners of Mount Falcon' compiled by Richard Baldwin Falkiner. Dublin: Dollard, 1894. "Philip Homan Baldwin (younger son of Henry Baldwin and Margaret Homan), Captain H.E.I. Co. Service (Madras), of Cloneygowan, King's County, whose will was proved in the Prerogative, Dublin, in 1811, married Eleanour, daughter of Edward O'Brien, by Barbara Aylward his wife, and had two sons, Eyre and Henry, and two daughters, the elder of whom, Ellen Baldwin, married Richard Eyre. Mary Anne Baldwin, younger daughter of Philip Homan Baldwin, married Nathaniel Falkiner."
