About Phillip Vedder Bovee

The Bovee & Bovie Families in America 139 PHILLIP VEEDER BOVEE, the son of Jacob M. (Mathius) Bovee and Jenney Dodds was born 12 June 1802 in Amsterdam, Montgomery County, New York. He was baptized 18 July 1802 in the Woestina Church, Rotterdam, Albany County, New York. The sponsors for the baptism were Phil Veeder and Margaret Veeder. [98] Philip, the son of Simon Veeder of Rotterdam and Margarita, the daughter of Takerius Van der Bogart, was born 9 September 1737. PhiUp and Margarita were married 1 December 1770.[9] In 1820 Philip Bovee probably Uved with his brother Matthias Bovee in Amsterdam, Montgomery County, New York. [20] Philiip married Charlotte Ann Pittman 27 June 1827 in Amsterdam.[13] Charlotte was born 23 February 1805 in New York City, New York. [24] Philip V. Bovee was Usted in New York City Directory in 1828-1830 as in Dry Goods on 91 Pearl Street, H106 Broad. Philip Veeder Bovee and his family were Living in Amsterdam in 1830 and he enumerated the census in 1840 for Amsterdam.[20] In 1843, Jacob M. Bovee and his family including his son Philip and his family moved to Eagle, Waukesha County, Wisconsin where they farmed. Philip Bovee served in the Civil War.[108][100] In 1850 Philip Bovee, a farmer, his wife Charlotte, born 1805, and their seven children were Living in Eagle, Wisconsin.[20] In 1860 PhiUp, his wife Charlotte, four children including his daughter Kate P. Jaycox, and his grandson Henry Jaycox, were Living on the farm in Eagle.[20] In 1870 Charlotte Bovee, son Eugene, daughter Kate Jaycox, grandson Henry Jaycox, and Lemuel Pittman a painter, born about 1810, were Living on the farm in Eagle.[20] Charlotte and Lemuel Pittman probably were sister and brother to Thomas Pittman, (see BFFCA). Philip Veeder Bovee died 21 November 1873 and Charlotte Ann (Pittman) Bovee died 14 April 1879 both in Eagle, Wisconsin. They were buried in Oak Ridge Cemetery, (Headstone).[100] The children of Philip Bovee and Charlotte Ann Pittman were Eliza, Thomas, Sharina, Lemuel, Catherine, Mary, John, Eugene, and Eugene.
