Pte. Alexander Lindsay Meikle

Meikle was murdered in his sleep by Private Eric Andrew Clark at the 2NZEF camp in Maidstone. Clark was drunk and had gotten into a dispute at a pub earlier in the evening and fell out with Meikle. Later that evening he found where Meikle was sleeping and murdered him with a sheath knife. During the ensuing court case, Clark argued that he suffered from hypo-thyroidism and was insane at the time.
