About Rüdiger, Markgraf von Meißen
Prince Ruediger of Saxony, Duke of Saxony, Margrave of Meissen (German: Prinz Rüdiger von Sachsen, Herzog zu Sachsen, Markgraf von Meißen; born 23 December 1953) is a disputed head of the Royal House of Saxony, pretender to the Polish throne and the only agnatic great grandson of the last King of Saxony, Frederick Augustus III. He is also known as Ruediger Prinz von Sachsen Herzog zu Sachsen on account of his parents' morganatic marriage.
He passed away on 29 March 2022 at his home, Schloß Moritzurg, in Saxony, following a heart attack.
