Reginald Denman Francis Piffard was born in Calcutta, Bengal, India on 4 October 1863. His parents were Charles Piffard and Emily Piffard (nee Hume). He died in Camberwell, London, England, on 7 May 1902 at the age of 38 and was buried with his brother Harold and family in Old Chiswick Cemetery.
