About Rev. Sir Thomas Broughton, 6th Baronet
He was given the name of Thomas Broughton-Delves at birth.
In 1756 he bought the Advowson of Cheadle, Cheshire through an Act of Parliament.
He matriculated at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, on 25 October 1762.
He succeeded to the title of 6th Baronet Broughton, of Broughton, co. Stafford on 16 January 1766.
On 16 January 1766 his name was legally changed to Thomas Broughton.
He held the office of High Sheriff of Staffordshire between 1772 and 1773.
He was the Rector in 1795 at Cheadle, Cheshire, England.
