November 15, 1916 ~ May 11, 1996 NORDEEN Romell February 16, 1920 ~ August 20, 2012 Ernie and Romell lived in St. Paul from 1955 through 1991. Ernie worked for the Great Northern as a machinist. After a quarter of a century with the railroad he worked another two decades in Shakopee as a mold maker turning out bottles for Coors. Romell got her first secretarial work in High School under the W.P.A. She held various secretarial positions in St. Paul. Her most cherished work was with the students at Kellogg High School where she served as secretary to the principal. The family was very active in the life of Cross Lutheran in Maplewood. They moved to Sun City, Arizona, where Romell took care of Ernie until our Lord called him home. Following his Resurrection Mass at Shepherd of the Desert Lutheran she lived her remaining days in the metropolitan New York area. Her Resurrection Mass was at the Lutheran Church of St. John the Evangelist in Brooklyn. Romell kept Ernie's ashes at home with the understanding that when she joined him with Jesus in the Kingdom, her sons would carry both of their ashes to their family place in Graceland Cemetery in Superior, Wisconsin. Peter and Paul will honor that request with their presence for the interment at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 20. Friends and family are invited to the interment.
