Rosanna Armstrong

Wilfred Fromm's family history (no sources given) lists Mary as one of four children of Martin and Anne Sinnott. It says that Mary married (doesn't give the name of her husband) and had 7 children: Margaret, Anne, Rosanna, Mary, Walter, Lillian, and Gertrude.

1891 Census of England: "Edward" and Mary Mowatt living in Kirkdale with children Margaret A. 10, Rosanna 8, Gertrude 6 and Lilian 4.

1901 Census of England: Edwin Mowatt, 44 and wife Mary Mowatt, 44 with children: Rosa 19, Gertrude 17, Lillian 14, Edwin 9, Walter 7, and Winnifred 5 lilving in Kirkdale. All were born in Liverpool. Edwin is a "ship's steward" and Rosa is a "shop assistant."

Rosa Mowatt married William Armstrong sometime after the census was taken in 1901. By the time of the 1911 census (that says they have been married 10 years) they had 5 children: William 9, Sidney 7, Walter 5, Winnifred 2, and Edwin 5 months. The information on the marriage came from Linda Howard, Rosanna Mowatt's great-grandaughter and is confirmed by the birth registration for her daughter, Rosemary (b. 1922) which states that her mother's maiden name was Mowatt.

I found out about Rosemary Armstrong from her grandaughter, Linda Howard on Ancestry.ca. I do not know if there were any more children between Edwin born in 1910 and Rosemary born in 1922.

Rosemary died in 1999, according to her grandaughter Linda Howard.
