Ruby Faye Landes

LANDES Ruby Faye (Tyler) Landes, age 91, died Saturday, July 4, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Lyle Landes of 51 years and her parents Thurman and Florence Myrtle (Carpenter) Tyler.

Ruby was the loving mother and grandmother of sons, Jack Tyler (Linda) Landes and George Robert (Denise) Landes; grandsons, Stephen Lyle (Shawna) Landes, Nathan Lyle Landes; granddaughters, Jill Ann Landes (Joel) Lee and Vanessa Lee Landes; and three great- grandchildren.

Ruby Faye was active in many committees, clubs and activities at Friendship Village of Dublin and enjoyed her many friends there.

Mrs. Landes was a graduate of University of Central Missouri and The Ohio State University. She taught in Missouri, Illinois, Iowa and Ohio. Retired from the Columbus Public Schools she had been a teacher in the Gifted and Talented Program, named a Jennings Scholar, and joined all Professional Educational Associations.

She was a member of Northwest United Methodist Church, PEO, AAUW, UWC of OSU, OSURA, and Clintonville Women's Club.

Ruby Faye arranged with SCHOEDINGER NORTHWST CHAPEL to donate her remains to The OSU Medical Center and will be buried alongside her husband in Warrensburg, Mo.
