Ruth Unger

Obituary:

Ruth S. Unger, 90, of Midland, TX, passed away peacefully at home and was taken to be with her Lord and her husband on Thursday, April 9, 2009.

Ruth was born February 2, 1919, in Wichita, Kansas, to Lee P. and Pauline Strickland. She was active in her church, dance and school. She graduated from Wichita State University, where she met and married the love of her life, Edwin H. Unger, in 1941.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edwin H. Unger her parents, Lee and Pauline Strickland of Wichita, Kansas, and later Midland and her sister, Dorothy Stiling of Camareo, California.

Ruth is survived by her children, Edwin H. Unger II and wife Mary of Port St. Lucie, FL daughters, Rebecca Unger-Currier, Laura Jane Treadway and husband Troy of Benson, NC her sister, Thelma Seibel of Dallas, TX her sister-in-law, Marlys Welch and husband Frank her 7 grandchildren 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services: Monday, April 13, 2009, at First Presbyterian Church in Midland, Texas, with Reverend Steve Schorr officiating.
