About Samuel Joseph Kattor
Samuel had an adopted daughter named Gloria per Mary Clare McAuliffe Babcock. Mary remembers her mother Rachel DiPasquale taking her to visit and that the Kattors were very jovial and generous people. Samuel was a very jolly and well-liked man. His wife was blond and fair complected.

He is listed in the 1942 Polk's Worcester City Business Directory as Kattor, Saml J. (Eliz) chauf h 5 Hyannis Pl.
His obituary in the Worcester Telegram & Gazette of Sat., 8/9/1975 read:
"Samuel J. Kattor, 83, of 5 Hyannis Place died yesterday in his home. He was president and treasurer of the Auburn Sand, Gravel and Loam Co. He had owned the trucking company for 30 years. He leaves his widow, Elizabeth (Murphy) Kattor, a daughter, Gloria, wife of Richard B. Walsh of Worcester and 4 grandchildren.
He was an avid fisherman and was active in several fish and game associations for many years. Born in Worcester, MA (sic? - I think it was Syria ), son of Simon and Mary (Beshara) Kattor. The funeral will be held today at Arthur S. Manzi & Son Funeral Home, 179 Shrewsbury St. with Mass at 11:00 at St. Stephen's, 361 Grafton St. Burial will be at Notre Dame cemetary."
