Sarah PEARCE was born c1780 Hampshire, England,

In 1797 she had a relationship with an unknown person which resulted in a son John PEARCE in 1798

She was convicted and sentenced to transportation to Australia and arrived in Sydney Cove on "Nile" on 14/12/1801 (her son John PEARCE came with her.)

On the journey to Australia she conceived a son Thomas on 15/12/1802 (Thomas later took the name of his step fathers - becoming Thomas REYNOLDS and then Thomas DOUGLAS)

After arriving in Australia, she lived with Thomas REYNOLDS and they had a daughter Elizabeth in 1804 (Elizabeth took on the name of her step-father - becoming Elizabeth DOUGLAS)

In 1804 she was living with Thomas DOUGLAS and they had 8 children. (Philip 1806, Maria 1808, Ann 1810, Joseph 1812, Charlotte 1814, Sarah 1816, Isaac 1821 and William 1824)

Sarah died 27/8/1851 Richmond and was buried on 29/8/1851
