About Sgt Samuel H Livingston

Samuel H. Livingston was born on 8 June 1829 and died of pneumonia on 11 October 1869.
His mother and brother William G. K. Livingston died on October 18, 1869. Another brother, James S. Livingston died on October 29, 1869. They are all buried in the Whitesboro Cemetery in Grayson County, Texas,as well as a number of other relatives.

Samuel served in the Border Battalion, 21st Brigade, Texas State Troops during the War Between the States in service to the Confederacy, as 4th Sgt. serving from 10 October 1862 until 7 January 1863. He was called into service to guard prisoners in Gainesville, Texas.

Samuel H. Livingston was born in Alabama in 1829 and died in 1869 in Whitesboro, Texas. He was a farmer just south of Red River and a fiddle player. He also served in the Border Battalion 21st division Brigade Texas Troops.
