William Shepard Rose III, known as Shep Rose, is a bachelor and businessman who grew up in a wealthy family from Sea Pines, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. He attended Hilton Head Preparatory School until 9th grade when he was sent to boarding school at Episcopal High School. He attended boarding school in Virginia and went on to study at the University of Georgia. He also studied business at Vanderbilt business school.
