About Sibella Boswell (Sandeman)
Sibella Boswell's father William Sandeman (1722 in Luncarty, Scotland – 1790 in Perth, Scotland) was a leading Perthshire linen and later cotton manufacturer. He was also an elder in the Scottish religious movement, an offshoot of Presbyterianism, begun by John Glas in the early 1700s. Her husband, Robert Boswell, Writer to the Signet, too was an elder in this church movement.
Robert Boswell married Sibella Sandeman 21 May, 1769, Edinburgh.
