Sir Richard Bruno Gregory Welby, 7th Bt. was born on 11 March 1928 at Indonesia.2,3 He is the son of Sir Oliver Charles Earle Welby, 6th Bt. and Barbara Angela Mary Lind Gregory.2 He married Jane Biddulph Hodder-Williams, daughter of Ralph Wilfred Hodder-Williams and Marjorie Glazebrook, on 8 February 1952 at Westminster, London, England.3

    He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1950 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Welby, of Denton Manor, co. Lincoln [U.K., 1801] on 6 October 1977.2 He lived in 2003 at 20 St. Mary Abbot's Terrace, London, England.2 He lived in 2003 at Denton Manor, Grantham, Lincolnshire, England.2
