Jan 27, 2022: The links to me (through the Stricklands) shown here may be true but I must add that Turner Simmons (1824--1862) of Madison Co Georgia is actually my gr-gr grandfather on my mother's paternal side - her father Montley (or Manley) Cleveland Simmons, his father John B. Simmons, his father Turner Simmons. This lineage is not shown here. Erroneously, geni says "no blood relationship found"!! And yet --

Update Feb 16, 2022: Since Geni added my great grandfather Ebenezer Brown Strickland to my Strickland line my paternal connections go into ancient times - Thanks, Geni! However, my mother's Simmons line is not yet complete. Ex: Mary "Polly" Power married Isaac Simmons and they are ancestors of my mother Mary Agnes Simmons Coile, Plus, "Polly" Power Simmons was a daughter of Francis Power (D.A.R.) and Elizabeth Evans Power who are listed on Geni as "no blood relationship" to me. This is erroneous so I'm still working on this!

Another issue I'm working on is that the mother of Francis Power (b. 1756 MD) was Elizabeth Woodson in most sources so linking her to Dr. John Woodson's line is in progress, if it's possible. Being no traveler, I'm dependent upon the kind online research of others!
