She was a fourth generation resident of the community and very active in the growth and development of Mulvane. Vivian was among the original members of Mulvane Christian Church and was committed to the outreach of the church family.

MULVANE - Nye, Vivian C. (Parker), age 85, passed on Thursday, September 4, 2008 in Edmond, OK. Visitation 1-8PM Sunday with family receiving friends 5-7PM, Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Service 10AM Monday, Mulvane Christian Church, 502 Highland Park, Mulvane. Vivian was known to many as the person responsible for helping them realize the dream of home ownership. A savvy business woman, she and her husband, Paul, operated Nye Enterprises, a land development, real estate, savings and loan, and residential construction operation in the Mulvane area for many years. She was a fourth generation resident of the community and very active in the growth and development of Mulvane. Vivian was among the original members of Mulvane Christian Church and was committed to the outreach of the church family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul; parents, W.C. and Myra Parker; brother, William C. Parker and daughter-in-law, Barbara Nye. Survivors include her children, Byron "Buz" Nye, Derby, Debara K. Schauf, Jones, OK and Nancy Nichols, Edmond, OK, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
