About Wilhelm Wolf Benjamin Putz
According to Hungarian marriage records on Jewish Gen, on the marriage record for Wilhelm and his third wife, Rozalia Policzer, his parents were listed as Herman Putz and Sali Deutsch. In the 1848 Hungarian Census, Wilhelm is listed as Farkas (which means "Wolf" in Hungarian) in the household headed by his widowed mother, Mrs. Hirsch Putz. Based on the Census, Wilhelm was born about 1836. The Census shows Wilhelm and his siblings having been born in Uny in Esztergom County.
Wilhelm had three wives. The first was Katarina (Kati) Spitzberger. The second was Berta Spitzberger, probably a sister of Kati. The third was Rozalia. According to records, Wilhelm was a cantor.
Note that on his death certificate, his mother's name is wrong -- it looks like whoever was the witness believed Sari Spitz(berger) was his mother. Her real name was Rosalia (Sali) Deutsch, as shown on his marriage record.
