About William Owen
Source Information:
--- Staffordshire RootsWeb, Sue Lote
John OWEN was baptised 22 July 1798 at St Matthew, Walsall (at that time Clayhanger was part of the parish of Walsall Wood, which before it had its own church in the 1830s, belonged to the larger parish of St Matthew, Walsall. Walsall wood folk were generally baptised at St Matthew.)
John was the son of William OWEN (b. C. 1766) and Ann (LANE, I think)
William OWEN and his sister Elizabeth OWEN were, I believe the children of George and Mary OWEN of Norton Canes.
George was baptised 5th June 1727 St Luke, Cannock - buried 10 May 1767 St James, Norton Canes - but his burial record says he died at Pelsall.
George was the son of a William OWEN who in turn was buried at St James, Norton Canes on 25 December 1764.
